Today we found Elfie laying on top of our smart board projector. He looked pretty comfortable all the way up there.
Elfie had a perfect view of everything that we were learning today. He could even watch the kids while they were on the carpet learning. When the students looked up to see if Elfie was watching this is what they saw.
We decided that yep, elfie was watching us! Elfie also left us the fun Pop up book Christmas by Robert Sabuda from yesterday for us to read and look at. Because it's so delicate I don't think it will be making it back to the book corner, but will be on loan from my desk. Next week we are doing a Christmas around the world rotation within our 1st grade team. The kids are going to be learning about traditions from a few places around the world with a little math and literacy tied in there as well. It is always a good time and the kids have fun and actually behave a little better for the other teachers than they do their own teacher. It's a great thing to do the last week of school before break!
