Hello Big World!

So I guess I should start by introducing myself. I am a second year teacher at an elementary school in a small town in Nevada. I moved out here a year and a half ago from the great state of Minnesota. If I were a super hero I would definitely be Wonder Woman. I am very involved in many things, especially during the school year, that I almost don't feel I have time to think. Besides the normal 8-3:30 that I put in at school I also help out with the after school program 4/5 days of the week which puts me there usually until 5-5:30 if I don't do anything in my classroom after that (yeah right!) On the one day a week I'm not helping out with the after school program I am part of a book club, which thankfully is going to be over soon for the school year. I am also taking an online class about writing to help my students and myself become better writers, and also to get a grad credit. I also play bunko with a group of ladies in the community, I am the Girl Scouts Liaison for the community and am going to be starting my own troop off of that. I also am going to be a stamping up demonstrator within the next few days as soon as I can meet with the consultant that is already here. Enough about all that stuff....

Also in my life I come from a family of 4 (mom, dad, and one younger sister) who all live in Minnesota. I live here in NV with my boyfriend of 5 years (yeah I know, what's the hold up right? Ask him...) and our cute little pampered pooch Bentley. He's a Bichon and definitely a mamas boy.

I started this blog for my online class. I have started blogs before, but for some reason or another have always quit writing in them. Maybe it's because no one ever responds to me? Sometimes I don't know that I would want to know that someone else is reading what I'm writing though. I guess it all depends on my mood.

Anyway enough of my ramblings for one evening. I'm sure you'll learn more about me than you ever wished to know, and maybe about my co-workers, my frustrations, my students, and my life in general. I just wanted to say hi and say that I'm here for anyone who's paying attention.
